Your mission

As our new System Architect, you will play a key role in defining and developing the system architecture of our complex hardware and software platforms. You’ll work closely with multidisciplinary teams to ensure seamless integration of subsystems and drive technical innovation across SCIL’s next-generation equipment. Your ability to translate business goals into robust and scalable system solutions will make a direct impact on our product roadmap and customer success.

Key responsibilities:

• Define and deploy short-term (<2 years) system architecture and roadmaps;
• Develop modular, scalable, and maintainable hardware and software subsystems;
• Ensure consistent and efficient integration of hardware and software components;
• Define hardware/software interfaces in collaboration with technical experts;
• Act as a key advisor on technical development strategies and decisions;
• Stay current with technical developments and industry standards;
• Collaborate with external partners, research institutes, and development teams.

Your expertise and qualities

To be successful in your role, you have the ability to combines strategic insight with a hands-on approach to drive meaningful, long-term impact in complex, high-tech sales environments. To do so, you have the following experiences and qualifications;

• Educational foundation: A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a relevant engineering discipline;
• Professional experience: 5+ years of experience in hardware/software development and system architecture;
• Technical knowledge: Strong understanding of hardware/software interfaces and system-level design;
• Requirements expertise: Experience in requirements management and system documentation (V-model);
• Methodologies: Familiarity with design and modelling methodologies;
• Problem-solving: Excellent analytical, creative thinking, and problem-solving skills;
• Communication skills: Strong communication skills with the ability to influence and align stakeholders.
