Finance Lead at Mujin Europe

Following strong international growth, Mujin is building its European organization and financial foundation. The ambition is to scale significantly in the coming years, making this an important moment to shape how finance supports that growth.

For Europe, Mujin is looking for a Finance Lead. This role offers a rare combination of ownership, visibility, and the opportunity to build in a fast-scaling, technology-driven environment.

Your role

You are the financial lead for Mujin Europe, reporting directly to the CEO and working closely with the US-based finance team. You combine hands-on execution with building a finance function that can scale with the business.

A key part of your role is partnering with project managers and engineering leadership. Mujin operates in a project-driven environment, where financial performance depends on accurate forecasting, cost control, and clear insight into progress and risks. You don’t just report on performance; you influence it. By working closely with the business, you help steer project outcomes, improve predictability, and protect margins.

At the same time, you take ownership of the broader finance domain: reporting, cashflow, systems, and controls. You bring clarity, structure, and consistency in an environment that is growing fast and still evolving.

Your responsibilities

• You act as the primary finance partner for European projects, owning budgets, forecasts, margins, and financial performance across the full project lifecycle.

• You translate operational developments into financial impact and ensure reliable and well-supported revenue and margin recognition (including IFRS15/POC) based on accurate project data;

• You actively steer cashflow and working capital performance, ensuring invoicing aligns with project milestones and improving visibility on WIP, unbilled revenue, and receivables;

• You lead monthly and annual reporting, working closely with external accounting (Mazars), and ensure a strong control environment around project accounting and financial processes;

• In addition, you take ownership of the ERP environment (Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central) from a finance perspective, improving structures, reporting, and data quality, while reducing manual work and strengthening scalability

Your profile

You are a hands-on finance professional who combines analytical strength with a structured way of working and a strong sense of ownership. You are comfortable operating independently in a scale-up environment and know how to bring control without losing flexibility.

You act as a business partner: someone who can translate financial insights into clear, actionable guidance and proactively improve processes and systems. You are motivated by building and improving, and you enjoy working in an environment where growth creates both complexity and opportunity.

You bring:

• 5+ years of experience in finance, with a focus on project accounting/controlling;

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field;

• Strong skills in Excel and modern ERP environments (Microsoft Dynamics is a plus);

• Strong analytical, communication, and collaboration skills; organized, detail-oriented, and comfortable in a growth environment.

• Fluent in English (Dutch is a big plus).
