Your mission
As a Field Service Engineer, you are the first point of contact for our internal and external customers when it comes to service and support. You ensure that SCIL tools perform reliably in the field and that customers receive timely, high-quality assistance. Beyond daily service activities, you play an important role in shaping and strengthening our service organization as SCIL continues to grow.
Your responsibilities
Maintain, repair and install SCIL tools, at our own site and potentially at customer locations.
Respond to service requests within agreed timeframes.
Perform scheduled and unscheduled maintenance with a high-level of accuracy and attention to detail.
Troubleshoot issues and coordinate with colleagues for additional support.
Document all service activities, progress, follow-ups, and work instructions in the ticketing system.
Assemble and test sub-modules, fixtures, and integrate hardware for small-scale projects.
Validate equipment performance SAT to ensure it meets high-quality standards.
Eagerness to guide and lead others by sharing knowledge, supporting colleagues, and contributing to process and technical improvements
Your expertise and qualities
We’re looking for a hands-on engineer with the skills and mindset to excel in a fast-paced, high-tech startup environment:
Background: Bachelor’s degree in a technical field with a proven track record.
Experience: 5+ years in high-tech industries, with strong troubleshooting and repair skills for complex systems (experience in cleanrooms is a plus).
Technical skills: Knowledge of mechanics, electronics, pneumatics, software, and chemical processes. Experience with Beckhoff TC software is a plus.
Systems: Proven proficiency with ticketing systems (e.g. Freshservice).
Flexibility: Willingness to travel up to 30% and adapt to varying working hours.
Attitude: Self-organizing, self-starting, and proactive in taking ownership.
Team & communication: Strong communication skills, customer-focused, and a collaborative team player.
Languages: Proficient in English; Dutch is a plus.
