Then this is your opportunity to join one of Europe’s leading salt producers, as Technical Project Manager at our Hengelo site.
About Hengelo Salt Specialties
We are a member of Salins Group, a family-owned European market leader dedicated exclusively to producing and commercializing salt. From food-grade to industrial and chemical applications, Salins is unique in mastering all three salt production techniques: solar, vacuum, and rock salt.
Salt has been our business since 1918. These days, Hengelo Salt Specialties (HSS) is one of the world's leading salt specialists, supplying high-quality products for all kinds of different applications. Our site in Hengelo is an essential and increasingly successful part of Salins Group. We employ around 150 people and invest continuously in modernizing and optimizing our production processes.

You’ll report to the Group Head of Project Office in France, while working closely with the local Site Director and Engineering & Maintenance team in Hengelo. This means balancing international alignment with local execution, a true linking pin role.
Your Responsibilities
- Lead and manage multiple technical projects from feasibility to delivery within scope, budget, and timeline.
- Translate group objectives into practical site-level actions and ensure efficient implementation.

- Foster strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including the French Project Office, suppliers, and local teams.
- Ensure compliance with QHSE standards, safety regulations, and environmental practices.
- Drive continuous improvement in project management methods and technical solutions.
Your Profile
You are an experienced Project Manager who enjoys getting things done in a pragmatic, communicative and structured way. You know how to engage engineers, operators, and suppliers alike, and you can handle the occasional last-minute change without losing focus.
- Master’s degree in a technical discipline.
- At least 8–10 years of experience in a technical or industrial environment.
- Proven track record in CAPEX project management within manufacturing or process industries.
- Strong stakeholder management skills and the ability to align international and local priorities.
- Hands-on approach; not afraid to be on the floor.
- Experience with automation and industrial processes is a plus.
- Proficient in English; Dutch and/or French are advantageous.
- Structured, reliable, and result-oriented with a clear sense of ownership.
