Embedded Software Engineer at VitalFluid
Code that replaces chemicals. Work that actually matters.
Let’s be honest. Most software jobs sound the same. Write code. Fix bugs. Push updates. Repeat.
This is not that.
At VitalFluid, we use plasma technology to help farmers grow food without chemicals. Our machines are already deployed in real agricultural environments, and we are scaling up quickly. To make that possible, we need smarter, cleaner and more reliable software running under the hood.
This is your chance to build the embedded intelligence behind a technology with real impact. Not theoretical impact, but visible, measurable, real-world impact.
Your role
Your code sits at the intersection of electronics, mechanics and the cloud. You build embedded software that talks to sensors and actuators, keeps interfaces responsive and ensures our machines stay reliable in demanding real-world conditions.
- Develop embedded C/C++ software that communicates with sensors, actuators and control modules
- Integrate software with mechanical and electrical subsystems in a multidisciplinary environment
- Optimize performance, stability and memory usage in constrained embedded platforms
- Implement and maintain communication protocols for secure machine-to-cloud connectivity
- Collaborate with the Cloud Engineer on remote diagnostics, updates and data handling
- Build and maintain robust local user interfaces such as touchscreens and dashboards
- Test and validate software on real hardware through unit, integration and field testing
What you bring
You do not overengineer for the fun of it. You build systems that are clean, reliable and understandable. You enjoy working close to hardware and seeing your code influence something that moves, measures, controls or reacts.
You have:
- Strong embedded C/C++ development skills
- Experience with microcontrollers, embedded Linux and real-time systems
- Knowledge of communication protocols such as MQTT, UART, SPI, I2C or Modbus
- Familiarity with Git, CI/CD and solid engineering practices
- Experience with Qt for UI development and Python or JavaScript for tooling or scripting
- Understanding of IoT or cloud-connected architectures, or eagerness to learn
- Fluency in English and comfort working with hardware and multidisciplinary teams
What’s in it for you
- We want good people, and we treat them that way. You can expect:
- A competitive and attractive compensation package that reflects your experience
- 8 percent holiday pay and 25 vacation days
- A solid pension plan
- A flexible work environment with room for hybrid working
- A role where embedded software, UI and cloud connectivity come together
- Direct influence on machine reliability, serviceability and user experience
- Work that directly contributes to chemical-free, sustainable agriculture
- A fast-growing company where your code ends up in real machines, not drawers
Why VitalFluid
We are not talking about change, we are building it. Our technology is already operating in the field, and its impact is real. You will join a team of smart, grounded engineers who care about building meaningful technology without losing practicality or common sense.
This is your chance to help us evolve toward a scalable, connected and robust machine architecture, where your code makes a visible difference every day.
